Thoughts on coding

Thinking back on my experience as an unexperienced IT person led my to believe this: You can learn anything you want, no matter the complexity of the issue, if you want to. However, there are several things that can effect your ability to learn the subject.

One thing, that deterred my learning, was that I never truly was passionate about learning coding and advancing my knowledge and abilities for my job. With this as the case it was hard to settle down and focus my studies as much as I needed to solidify my knowledge in the ways  needed to.

A second thing that caused a defect in my learning is that my schooling now was almost countering anything I learned at work. Not to fall into any cliches but really my art and my work thought processes were separated by two hemispheres in my brain. Without much critical thinking or problem solving needed in my art classes my ability over time to do these things has lessened. For the entirety of my job I really felt like I was being pulled apart by two separate worlds.
